Origin
When a plane carrying the king and queen of a small European called Glockenberg crashes in the jungle their twin sons survive and are adopted by a band of great apes, they grow up to think of themselves as Tono and Kono.
Creators
Created by Gaylord Du Bois and artist Paul Norris as a replacement for Tarzan when DC got the rights to the character, while things might have been made more interesting by doing a cross between the Prisoner of Zenda or Count of Monte Cristo and the Tarzan theme they instead turned in a pretty dreary by the number lord of the jungle battles animals, natives and poachers comic, only with twins.
