    Allen was a SHIELD agent assigned to monitor and control SHIELD's psychics. They were being attacked from within and dying, one by one. Allen tried to bring this to the attention of his superiors, but they were traitors. Allen escaped with the aid of SHIELD's CIA liaison, McKenzie. The two joined with Alexander Pierce and Fury, to investigate enemy activity in a foreign land. The four man team were infiltrating through a sewer system, being led by Weng and Pail, a father/son team. Weng, brainwashed, turned against the group, killing his father after shattering Allen's skull.
