    In order to save two universes, the young hero known as Access was forced to use the power of Amalgam (see Marvel versus DC (1996) #3). In this issue, guest-starring the Amazon (Storm/Wonder Woman), members of the X-Men and JLA are merged to create Mr. X (Martian Manhunter/Professor Xavier), Apollo (Cyclops/Ray), Night Creeper (Nightcrawler/Creeper), and others must battle the nigh-stoppable force of nature known as Fin Fang Flame (Fin Fang Foom/Brimstone).
