After Batman disappeared at the end of #18, the Justice League stand baffled as to what is going on, and what to do next. Martian Manhunter has a plan, to still apprehend Julian September, but when he asks Oracle for information, she is to busy to give any to him. Over hearing her thoughts of "two bullets and everything changed," Martian Manhunter believes Oracle has removed herself from the case to regain her legs. Martian Manhunter begins to fade, but as he does, he tells the rest of the JLA to fill in the Atom when he takes his place. After the Atom arrives, he is briefed, and begins to work on a way to restore the natural order of things.
