    Born in October 1952, Jean-François Charles published Les Chevaliers du Pavé in the Journal de Spirou. In 1980, he designed Le bal du rat mort and then created Les Pionniers du Nouveau monde. In 1991, he started Fox with writer Jean Dufaux. He draws an album from the series Le Décalogue, orchestrated by Frank Giroud, then switches to direct color for India dreams, in collaboration with his wife Maryse. Still with Casterman, the duo also publishes War and dreams, Africa dreams and China Li.
