An early warning system claims a volcano will erupt near one of Stark Enterprise's microchip factories forcing Iron Man to investigate. However, it is a trap, as a massive robot attacks him there. Even worse, Fin Fang Foom nearly finishes the job sending a severely damaged Iron Man crashing.
Hidden inside a glacier, he finds that it will take about six hours for his armor to repair itself. Only the armor's memory module can keep Tony going in the cold for that long. The most pivotal moments of his life are shown from his reckless youth all the way up to the Mandarin capturing him after his heart injury. Meanwhile, Force Works searches for their missing leader, but they will have to beat all of the Mandarin's forces.
