Invincible #39

With aliens from Mars on their way to attack Earth, Shapesmith reveals that he himself is a Martian and that the attack is all his fault. Invincible and Atom Eve team up with the Guardians of the Globe to face the Martians in space before they can reach Earth and take over. While the bulk of the Earth's strongest heroes are off-world, the Lizard League chooses that moment to strike. They attack an American missile base and threaten to destroy a populated Earth city with a nuke, an act which could start World War 3. The only people left to defend the Earth are Rex-Splode, Dupli-Kate and Shrink Ray.
