Honest John

Origin

Honest John has the taken the monger "The Living Propaganda". He is an expert orator and negotiator who has fully committed himself to the ideals of the Red Skull and his anti-mutant agenda. It is unclear how he received his powers and his ability to appear as anyone's ideal leader, but it can be assumed Red Skull had something to do with it, as Honest John is his second in command of the S-Men.

Creation

Honest John was created by writer Rick Remender and artist John Cassaday. He first appeared in the story "New Union" in Uncanny Avengers #1 (Oct. 2012).

Red Skull has Honest John appear on the TV news and he uses his power to have regular folk turn on there friends and family who happen to Mutants. Then when Red Skull attacked New York and incited a riot using his new-found telepathic powers, Honest John appeared to Thor in the form of his father Odin, and was able to convince him to join their cause in ridding humanity of the mutant menace.
