    Short summary describing this team.

The first member of the Hoan G'Tay Sho that we meet is Nonna the symbol maker. Their tribe is the most artistic and worshipful group of humans scattered about Abode, but mostly centered at the base of Blue Mountain in the original series of ElfQuest. The Hoan emerge in a later series called ElfQuest: New Blood. The tibe periodically makes homages of its choicest specimens to the Glider elves whom they believe are "Bird Spirits". The Hoan G'Tay Sho are the epitome of a human civilization from the perspective of the diplomatic elven Wolfriders.

    Cutter's Destiny

Cutter's innate desire for Tribal Reunification for any and all elves of "the world of two moons" strikes a harsh note against humans, who from the very first issue burnt down his clan's sacred Holt -- their forest dwellingplace. Raised in a time of horrid blood anomosity between humans and elves, called "Demons", by the humans, Skywise believed that there was no hope for negotiation between humans and any of his kind.

The Hoan G'Tay Sho represent a turning point in the series, and it is the first indication that Tribal Reunification might just extend beyond Cutter's elf family. The Hoan G'Tay Sho's neighbors, led by Olbar, father of Selah, are fearful and apprehensive of the elves but the Hoan are not. His willingness to strike a peaceful accord with not only Olbar but all of the Hoan G'Tay Sho is a sign of the elves inherently benevolent and forgiveing nature.

The Original Hoan G'Tay Sho are initially friendly to Cutter and his tribe, but soon Winnowill tricks them into identifying the smaller elves as enemies. The Gliders give them metal spears, a great advantage to their stone aged technology and decree a war against their cousins.

    The Hoan of the Future

Windkin, in a later series, flies himsela from Sun Village to a distant land, where the Hoan G'Tay Sho of the future have repopulated the jungle. The leading priests have borrowed much from the hollow of Blue Mountain Glider culture of Lord Voll's time. The future jungle village is modelled much after the Mayan pyramid-tempels, with a three-fingered hand on top. The priest-lord's religious views and perverted self-identification have caused him to cut off his pinky, thus resembling in a crude way the elves. He captures Windkin and flaunts him as an idol; Sun Top senses this, and Dart & Chot escort him safely to this foreign land, landing at the harbor home of the New Wavedancers.

This advancing civilization is an example of the timeline, between the primitive setting of the Original ElfQuest, during ElfQuest: Kings of the Broken Wheel, but before ElfQuest: Shards. The Hoan G'Tay Sho are one of the few tribes who survived the test of time and populated the modern world of Adobe.
