    Growing up with western influences, cowboys were part of outdoor play. Roy Rogers cowboy suits and matched pistols were under most Christmas trees and if you got lucky even a Lone Ranger set of six-shooters. It was a different world, where kids didn't pull the trigger on dad's gun and no one shot up public schools.
