    Part of the Grendel Tales series of miniseries. It comes after Devils and Deaths and before Devil's Choices.

    Susan from Grendel: Warchild is coming home. The people aren't as she remembers them, and home is more brutal than ever. She is reunited with Avril, a beautiful face from her past. The two get in trouble with the local gangs, and Susan is forced to come to grips with her nature as a Grendel.
