    Death is coming
    Death is coming

Guy Gardner and John Stewart lead a squadron of Green Lanterns to fight a mysterious force that is marching across the space sectors and devouring not only their natural resources but their entire populations. Worst of all, those responsible have a vendetta against the Green Lantern Corps!

The trail of blood shed leads the green lantern team to Xabas were the Green Lanterns meet some of the enemy that have been behind the murders of Green Lanterns and a whole civilization. It is a tough battle but the Green Lanterns are triumphant. At least they think so. Isamot Kol is transported to another place in a explosion to stop the nameless enemy and just as the Lanterns think they have everything under control the portal opens and Isamot is telaported back... well at least some of him. Right behind him however is a whole army of this new threat that has killed at least four Lanterns so far.

The Good: I kind of like how each cover is by a different artist. Something works about it. This one in particular is pretty haunting and dark. The way the lanterns react to the dead planet is interestingly varied. Normally in a big group people tend to react with the same type of shock, but here there's a much better sense that the characters actually have deeply varied personalities. The suspenseful scenes building up the villains in the background are pretty epic and dark. These villains are ...

Where the first issue of the series was weak in characterizations, so is this issue, but unlike the last issue this one makes up for it in a decent plot and well paced action.  With one world already stripped of its resources, the unknown assailants are on the lookout for the final pieces to their puzzle.  The gathered Corps members determine the similarities in energy signature and are able to track the next pillage in time to stop it, but they experience as unexpected amount of resistance.  Th...

After last issues massacre of a whole planet, it's going to be hard to beat that. I actually think that Peter J. Tomasi and Fernando Pasarin beat it by a lot.  THE GOOD: I really like the art. It has a feeling to it that makes it special and I really like the detail that is added into the pages. It gives you things to look at when you want to reread a comic book. The story is actually really good too. I really couldn't think of a reason anyone would what to kill a whole planet, Peter j. Tomasi h...
