Grange Hill followed the lives of the staff and pupils of Grange Hill School in England. The show ran from 1978 to 2008, with 602 episodes over 30 years, and featured a constantly evolving cast as child actors joined the show, grew up and then left when both actors and characters were no longer school age.
Massively popular, especially in its first decade, the series had tie-in annuals and novels, a spin-off show with its own tie-in annuals and books, a best-selling album, and comic strips in several titles over the years, including its own BBC magazine, Polystyle's Beeb, IPC's School Fun, the BBC's Fast Forward and the TV listings magazine Radio Times.
