    Hush Job

"Hush Job" is a throwback to issue 21 ,the famous silent issue and also does not have a single word of dialogue.

This story opens with Snake-Eyes, chained, being carried into the Cobra Consulate building in New York. Flying overhead, Scarlett and Slip-Stream capture a photograph of Snake-Eyes as he is taken away.

Scarlett, desperate to help her friend, tracks down Storm Shadow and convinces him to help her in a rescue.

As Dr. Mindbender and the Baroness torture Snake-Eyes and use a machine to read his mind, Scarlett and Storm Shadow infiltrate the Consulate in their own unique ways.

    My Dinner with Serpentor

Dr. Mindbender and Serpentor are both sitting down to an evening dinner when the Dreadnoks show up to serve them their meal. Dr. Mindbender is outraged as Torch and Ripper present the appetizer, chocolate covered donuts and grape soda. He is further aggravated when he finds out the main course is microwavable pizzas, declaring the meal a "gastronomic outrage". Serpentor interjects saying that little pizzas is actually rather appropriate as they assisted him in one of his former lives.

As a Propraetor, leading the Roman legions in their campaigns against France, Serpentor hit a roadblock against the Gaul leader Vercingetorix. His troop morale began to drop and while they wouldn't rebel, they were no longer fighting at their full potential. Touring the camp he came across a man who was transforming their stale cheese and pita bread into an early form of the pizza, a delicious alternative to eating the components alone. Seeing how the pizza picked up the morale of his troops in that small area, he called to have the preparation instructions passed around to the entire camp. Soon after his troops were able to break through the Gaul defences and capture their leader.

Back at the dining table, Dr. Mindbender is incredulous at the idea that pizza was responsible for conquering early France and Belgium. Serpentor smiles and says that maybe it's just a random memory.
