    A sudden rain of fish is the beginning of the newest adventure of Charles Fort, New York librarian, seeker of truth and self-proclaimed foremost authority on the unexplained. A rash of murders has the city in panicked and Governor Theodore Roosevelt demands answers. Can Fort and his unlikely companion provide these before they are arrested and hanged by the city's mistaken police force?
