Through his brief career in comics fans have always marvelled at the similarity of Vic’s drawing style to that of his artistic hero, John Byrne. If you like Byrne’s work, you’ll probably like this. The first issue of the 4 Issue Mini-Series, the story in this comic introduces the reader to a few characters of the team "Faze 1 Fazers".
The First few pages deal with some of the team members as they are aboard the shapeshifting alien companion of Girl-Bot which has transformed itself into that of a metallic type bird as it flies through space. The members are searching for fellow member Flyte via her built-in distress signal. However, the signal was designed to emanate within a limited physical range yet hers appears to be emanating someplace within the solar system off Earth.
While the crew are conducting their perplexing search, other members who are Earth bound soon find themselves being targeted, kidnapped, and collected by a powerful giant robot they can't seem to defeat despite each one's powers.
There is a back-up story featuring the origin of Girl-Bot.
