Fantastic Four » Fantastic Four #538 - Street Fighting released by Marvel on August 1, 2006.

    Short summary describing this issue.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

CIVIL WAR TIE-IN One member of the FF lies hospitalized, a casualty of the CIVIL WAR that's fragmented the superhuman community! And another member of the team is secretly helping the opposition...even though the consequences will tear the first family of the Marvel Universe apart!

With Johnny Storm in a coma, each member of the Fantastic Four is forced to take a position on the Superhuman Registration Act.

Reed Richards, one of its creators with Tony Stark, is strongly in favor of the registration, his wife Susan Storm stands against it, and Ben Grimm doesn't know where to stand. He's not against it, but he won't do anything to promote the Act.

You have already seen the evaluation and prepared rotten tomatoes? Splendid. But first things first: i like all the Civil War-storyline covers. They are very expressive and would make excellent posters. Unfortunately, this is the rare case when the art mixes and corrupts the impression from the script. Mike McKone does the impossible - he rapes all work that did Straczynski and completely kills the interest to story. Ironically, writer screws up too. All that moral choice (Cap-Stark-Stark-Cap)...
