Captain Atom leads the team into its final assault on Mount Thunder--and against the forces of Synge, the rogue military genius behind the high-tech national conspiracy.

The Extreme Justice team continues their assault of the robotic defenders of Mount Thunder, commanded by Mister Synge. With Captain Atom back, the team gains the upper hand. However, damage to one of the defenders reveals that they are not robots, but in fact are cybernetic beings. The team learns that Synge’s group was experimenting with cybernetic grafts, turning their soldiers into robotic weapons. With the truth revealed, Synge decides on a burnt earth scenario, and plans on destroying the entire base. The cybernetic defenders learn of Synge plan to sacrifice them, and instead turn sides, joining with Captain Atom. They help Extreme Justice navigate to Synge’s main command center, where the cybernetic troops sacrifice themselves to kill Synge. The Extreme Justice team now believes they are in full control of Mount Thunder. Meanwhile, after a chemo session, Ronnie Raymond is in agony, and bursts into flames in front of his new friends Skeets and Oberon.
