    Origin

    Ewin was born and raised in the Two Rivers, and has spent his entire life living in Emond's Field. He looks up to Rand al'Thor, Matrim Cauthon and Perrin Aybara, all of whom are about four years older than him, and tries to tag along with them whenever possible. They tend to put up with him or ignore him, though Mat has a fondness for picking on him and playing tricks.  

    Creation

    Ewin was created by Robert Jordan for his book series The Wheel of Time, making his first appearance in the first book of the series, The Eye of the World. He made his first comic appearance in Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time: Eye of the World #1, written by Jordan and Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Chase Conley.

    The Eye of the World   

    Ewin is one of the first in the village to encounter Moiraine Damodred and al'Lan Mandragoran. He tells Rand and Mat about her, informing them of the mysterious pair's names, as well as the fact that Nynaeve al'Meara doesn't like Moiraine. He is later present when they meet. She gives him a silver penny.
