In ancient China there was an Order who took on dark, corrupting powers and where transformed from Human form to superhuman forms- Ra'al, A'yin and Barak. The killed the 4th member who refused to be corrupted.
The Dragons returned to Earth seeking Brain Braddock aka Captain Britain to use his innate powers to open a permanent portal to the Crimson Dawn. This plan was foiled when supposed Ally Spiral led the rest of Excalibur to the Dragons base and Briain himself used their portals energy against them.
