The first Doctor Who Special to include new comic strips, rather than reprints, alongside the usual features about the TV show Doctor Who. The strips, neither of which featured the Doctor himself, except as a narrator, were:
Tales of the Time Lords: Minatorius - which followed the story of a novice Time Lord, Cargan, on a visit to the city Minatorius. The writing is attributed to Maxwell Stockbridge, an alias used by various Marvel UK writers.
Skywatch-7 (part two) - concluding a tale about an isolated Arctic UNIT base menaced by a Zygon. Part One was a back-up in Doctor Who Monthly #58, with part two published here due to the creative team missing their deadline for the regular magazine. Like the other comic strip, writing is attributed to Maxwell Storckbridge.
