    Themed around the Doctor's people, the Time Lords. Though depicted on the cover, neither the Master nor the Rani appear in the comic strip Flashback. The strip's antagonist, the Time Lord Magnus, sometimes mistaken by readers for an early incarnation of the Master, was confirmed in Doctor Who tie-in novels to be the War Chief, who appeared in the TV story The War Games.
