Deadpool teams up with the always-prickly Taskmaster! Will this team-up be brains over brawn? Or Deadpool’s brains splattered over Taskmaster’s feet?

Deadpool was having a drink with Taskmaster, who had discovered that Deadpool's deteriorating mental condition was caused by the Black Swan: a mercenary with unspecified mental powers( who even Taskmaster underestimated). Deadpool then took a job from a business man who was being harassed by a former employee whom he had fired on his birthday. When trying to complete the job, Deadpool was overcome by an excruciating head-ache. Despite the pain, he was able to tie his target's shoe-laces together and shove him out the window. After returning to his client, his son (who was a mutant) showed Deadpool a picture he saw in a dream. It was of a black swan above Deadpool's bloody body lying on the ground. Deadpool then discovered that his assistant, Sandi, was in the hospital.
