The work of Alan Moore (WATCHMEN, V FOR VENDETTA, THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN) during the 1980s is a benchmark for great stories with fresh approaches to iconic characters. Collected in this volume are all of Moore's Superman and Batman stories, including ACTION COMICS #583, BATMAN ANNUAL #11, BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE, DC COMICS PRESENTS #85, DETECTIVE COMICS #549-550, GREEN LANTERN #188, THE OMEGA MEN #26-27, SECRET ORIGINS #10, SUPERMAN #423, TALES OF THE GREEN LANTERN CORPS ANNUAL #2 & 3, SUPERMAN ANNUAL #11 and VIGILANTE #17-18, plus VOODOO #1-4, DEATHBLOW: BYBLOWS #1-3 and more!

This is another one of the DC-universe stories by Alan Moore collections, that are basically the same. The only difference is the cover and the inclusion of a few stories that weren`t in the previous versions.

Note: While promotional material and store descriptions may claim otherwise, this version (unlike its predecessor) does not include Batman: The Killing Joke

    A Moore Miscellany 0

For me, the first half of the collection (the '80s DC material) was superior to the second half ('90s Wildstorm/Image stuff) - not just because I'm not an Image fan, per se (if it was good, I would have said so, regardless of the publisher), but because they were better stories. One thing we can say for sure about the inscrutable Alan Moore: he delights in grey heroes. Moore has an amazing ability to make even Superman (the quintessential monolithic All-American Boy Scout Hero) shaded and shadow...
