Creation

Commissinor David Corporon was one of many new characters, who was introduced into the DC Universe after the relaunch of 2011. He was created by George Perez. The character is based on a real person that George has been friends with for a number of years. David Corporon is the co-owner of Coliseum of Comics in the Seminole Towne Center Mall in Sanford, Florida. George and David (Along with the other employees and friends of the store) exchange gifts at Christmas. Georges gift to David will typically be an original sketch of one of David's favorite characters (His all-time favorite being Superman). You can friend the real-life David Corporon on Facebook here.

David will sometimes dress as his DC character for his Cosplay outfit when attending Comic Book Conventions.

David Corporon became the commissioner of the Metropolis Police Department.
