The Devil, the Magician, the Hanged Man... When Edgardo Zani read the tarot pack of the Visconti of Milan, he got these three figures. the fourth he was sent in an anonymous envelope: the Tower... Just like the one surviving tower of Palace Gorani-Crivelli, in Milan, where at nighttime somebody saw a strange ghost climber. But the Tower emblem is also connected to the mysterious lost crown – that belonged to the Emperor Constantine and held the relics of the Holy Cross – now partially preserved in Monza. Where are the missing parts of the crown? During which age had they been stolen? Who plays the part of the Magician? And who’s the Devil? Who’s the mysterious “Hanged Man”, entangled in the swirl of the Eternal Return? For Harlan and Kurjak, guests of the well-read primary school teacher Zani in the Lombard capital, it’s the beginning of the diffcult solution of the most intricate puzzle of their career.
