The castle doubled up as Cord's lab and was the location where he created The Demolisher and met his tragic death while trying to save his daughter Janice from his own creation. Janice was eventually rescued by Iron Man and S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Jasper Sitwell. After her father's death, Janice hired attorney Vincent Sandhurst to oversee the sale of the property to Stark Industries.CreationCord Castle was created by writer Archie Goodwin and artist Johnny Craig in 1968.
