Johnny Williams used to be a firefighter, who was transformed into Clayface by an explosion in a chemical plant. He discovers his mutation after he accidentally killed a prostitute. He wants to commit suicide when he meets Riddler and Hush. They promise him a cure to his mutation if he helps them. As Clayface, Johnny pretend to be Tommy Elliot to confuse Batman. However, when Johnny realizes that Riddler and Hush are manipulating him, he offers his assistance to Batman in exchange for his family's safety.
