Story
One day while Matt Murdock was visiting a school a student starting acting strangely and collapsed. Matt changed into Daredevil and rushed her to the hospital, but unfortunately she did not make it. At the hospital it is revealed that the girl had overdosed on Angel Dust. The girl's brother, Billy, is very upset about it. He reveals that the man responsible is called the Hogman and says he is going to do something about it.
Later after tracking down Hogman's partner Joey, Daredevil encounter the Punisher, who recently broke out of Rykers prison. Punisher tries to kill Joey, but before he can someone else shoots the man. Daredevil runs up to a rooftop and finds Billy holding a gun. Billy says he aimed up, that he didn't try to shoot him and Daredevil believes him. He successfully defends Billy in court as Matt Murdock, pinning the crime on Hogman himself. Afterwards Billy is acquitted of the charges Hogman screams he didn't do it, and by listening to his heartbeat Matt could tell he was not lying.
Matt defends Hogman next because he thinks he is innocent. After he gets Hogman off on all charges, Hogman reveals to him that he did kill Joey. Turns out that he has a paste maker and that is why Matt couldn't tell he was lying. Daredevil chases after him later, wanting to bring him to justice. He encounters the Punisher again and they manage to take out the Hogman and his allies. Afterwards Daredevil shoots the Punisher with one of the criminals guns so he can be sent back to prison. With newfound evidence the Hogman is imprisoned and justice is served.
