    Cable battles Pestilence!

    Prelude to the Apocalypse: The Twelve story arc.

    Cable and X-Force face off against Caliban and Deathbird is revealed as the horseman of War. X-force fight the two horsemen, in reality and in the psionic plane. The team eventually lose and Cable is captured by the forces of Apocalypse.

    Also in this issue are various scenes with characters reflecting on their reletionship with Cable and how he has influenced their lives.
