The chase of the Dark Riders is on! Cable, Domino and Storm are on the Riders' trail when they are suddenly transported to the scene of a massacre! Who is responsible for this horror, and how is Cable's son Tyler connected to it all?

In Egypt, Storm, Caliban, Cable, and Domino hunt the Dark Riders in hopes of finding who is acting for Apocalypse. After an ambush in the desert, Cable and Co. are transported to a scene from Cable's future. It's a death-scape that has been orchestrated by Genesis.

    Synopsis

In Egypt, Cable and Domino comb the streets of Alexandria looking for clues as to the whereabouts of the Dark Riders. Caliban is one step ahead of them, as he has found - and is currently chasing - one of the mini-clones of Tusk through the markets. Chaos ensues and Cable is rushed into using his telekinetic abilities to save Domino and a boy from a falling building. The search party (which also includes Storm) corners the clone, who reveals that Tusk Prime was found unworthy to be a Dark Rider and is now in exile. He offers to take the group to the stronghold.

Cable and company acquire camels and follow the Tusk clone into the desert. A severe windstorm whips up and the clone escapes. Suddenly, Cable is hit by a shot from Barrage and several Dark Riders appear. Barrage continues to go after Cable, but Cable exerts a bit of mental muscle and incapacitates his foe with a strong telekinetic punch. Cable then begins blasting opponents with his gun while Storm overcomes the sandstorm with her own powers, exposing Gauntlet and the rest of the Dark Riders. Before an attack can be started, Harddrive teleports the Dark Riders away.

Harddrive then teleports Cable's group to a grisly scene in modern day Akkaba, Egypt. Cable knows this place, because it is a city in the future that is butchered by Apocalypse. He cannot understand how something that is to have happened in the future could have happened so early. Apocalypse, he reasons, must not be dead. Sure enough, a large form reveals itself from the burning mayhem. But it is not Apocalypse, it is Cable's own son, Tyler Dayspring.
