    Buffy is a cheerleader who's biggest worry is what she's going to wear to the senior dance. That is, until an old guy named Merrick shows up and tells her that she's the latest in a long line of vampire slayers, and she has to skip cheerleading practice to save the world. But she's going to have to get with the program pretty fast if she's going to go head to head with Lothos, the centuries old vampire who's latest brood is terrorizing the basketball court of Buffy's high school!

    I have to admit I have a soft spot for the original Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Which is a funny thing to say, given that I'm a huge fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer - and most fans loathe this 'perversion' of Joss Whedon's (admittedly much better) TV Series.  But this is the movie that introduced Buffy to the world, and although it was panned by audiences and critics at the time of its release - mostly because the humor often falls flat - it still has a sort of low budget appeal to it.
