    Brightest Day new pattern of focusing only on one or two of its running plots per issue was bound to result in a weaker than normal issue that focused on one of its much less impressive plots. Here it is. This issue is almost entirely devoted to the ongoing story of Hawkman and Hawkgirl in Hawkworld.  The Hawk story in Brightest Day actually began very promising. Carter and Shiera's quest to hunt down and kill Hath-Set was compelling and made a lot of sense for the newly resurrected pair. But th...

    THE GOOD! What I liked about this issue is that we are moving towards big things. The Hawkman and Hawkgirl story was pretty cool. The best part of the story was definitely the ending, but we already knew it was coming so I don't really know how I feel about it. My favorite thing about Brightest Day is definitely the art. I have loved every issue's art and will continue to love it! The cover was awesome and the pennciling was awesome too! The characters are given such a great detail that I love. ...

     The Good: Finally, some new developments on the Hawkman/Girl story after so much neglect. It's far from my favorite story, but it's at least refreshing to see it again, and I know some people out there have been eagerly waiting for this.The cover is really glorious and closer inspection of the Star Sapphire symbol in the center reveals a really gorgeous artsy quality to the background.There was a lot of cool action, with Hawkman beating the ever loving crap out the hawks in Hawkworld, especiall...
