    A 1950s like innocent in the turbulent 60s and 70s, he was never arrested, never associated in any way with the counterculture, never made any political stand, or for that matter ever stated what could be called an opinion of any sort, but he had six gold records and girls of a certain age and background at that time thought he was “the grooviest.”   
     

    For a time.     
     
    This led to his image being placed in two different comic books at the same time.
