    Blindside surprises Dazzler.
    Blindside surprises Dazzler.

Blindside was a mutant that was infected by the Brood when they attempted to invade Earth. A paramedic named Harry Palmer was implanted with a Queen egg and started infecting mutants to create a Brood force with abilities to rival the X-Men. Numerous mutants were infected including Blindside, Brickbat, Tension, Temptress, Dive-Bomber, Lockup, Spitball and Whiphand.

Blindside strikes Dazzler with a teleportation attack and starts to strangle a patron inside the diner. Longshot quickly throws three blades into Blindside's back and kicks the infected mutant in the head. Blindside then teleports away and reappears behind the lucky mutant. Longshot is saved when Storm kills Blindside with a lightning blast. The rest of his infected teammates were slain by the X-Men because they resolved that the Brood's human hosts were beyond saving.

    Creation

Blindside was created by Chris Claremont and Marc Silvestri in 1988 and first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #232.
