    The Birds go out with a whimper... NEVER! 0

    Indulge me for a moment while I wax philosophical. What makes a person a hero? Is it their abilities, physical or otherwise, that allow an individual to rise above the masses and take on the moniker hero? Or, is it really about the heart of a person? In his Superman run JMS is showing us how we all can be heroes in our very own neighborhoods, when we choose to put our own selfish desires aside and simply make ourselves available for others.     Black Canary vs White Canary round 2 0

    Wow. I'm going to say it right now. This was an tense issue and a great conclusion to a great first arc for Birds of Prey.   Pros:  Like I said before, this was a tense issue of BoP in three different places with Black Canary fighting White Canary, Huntress and the other girls (and guy) dealing with Penguin, and Oracle being captured by Savant and Creole with surprises in store for each scene. Yes, the reveal of who White Canary is was someone I never thought about (I was going for Sin's Mother ...

    The Good: Spectacular fight scenes all around. Stellar as usual artwork. Excellent intro sets the mood nicely. While the 'arc' is technically over in a way, the story continues.Even though it's "Endrun: Part 4 of 4" the arc doesn't conclude, which I liked because there's still more that couldn't have been wrapped up in one issue. There was this one panel where Penguin looks seriously menacing. Completely badass. Which is awesome, I've loved any time Penguin gets respect ever since his Joker's As...
