    Overview                      

    Batman takes on the villain you've been waiting for: The Joker! One is the Heroic Dark Knight…the other is The Agent of Chaos. Batman's oldest enemy has killed one person too many , and Batman makes a new vow: "Tonight, The Joker dies by my hand!" For all the crimes The Joker has commited, Batman seeks retribution. Will the Dark Knight finally cross the ultimate line between Hero and Vigilante?

    Batman has just found that his friend Thomas Elliot has just been killed by the Joker.  Batman goes in to a rage and starts to beat the Joker.  The Joker tries to convince Batman that it really was not him.  Through all of this Batman is thinking of all the things the Joker has done to him.  How he killed Jason Todd and how he parylzed Barbra Gordan.  When Batman is about to kill the Joker, James Gordan comes to save Batman from doing something he would have regretted, and becoming the very evil he vowed to fight.  He spares the Jokers life.  At the end of it all you see Two-Face in bandages.

    From Batman´s rogue gallery the one that really stands out is the Joker, so it was expected that Loeb would put him into scene, but the really unexpected, for me, was how Batman reacted seeing his old foe in action, in an alley very similar of that one in which his parents were murdered. Loeb is bringing all this past/present dilemma, it´s a constant in his script, but in this issue it became obvious that Batman´s mind is obscured by the past, specially when it regards his "mistakes" or the peop...
