    Avengers: The Initiative Special #1 - The Real Thing by m0n5t3r on September 21, 2009

    a special seems like a throwback in the comics medium. i didnt know where or if this would be collected anytime soon, so i picked it up without expecting an actual resolution to the romantic involvement. i liked the source material, which always brake the action/arguments up in a solid manner. the issue of allegiance(s) really play off each other nicely. the conclusion even comes off gruff and no nonsense. anyone who's reading the series currently know how it shook out, but without saying much.....
