Is he man or machine? Created by the evil Ultron, The Vision was meant to be a terrifying weapon of destruction. But when tasked with destroying The Avengers, he must decide whether to follow his programming...or defy his creator. Witness the origin of The Avengers' most mysterious member in this exciting one-shot! Written by Kyle Higgins & Alec Siegel with art by Stephane Perger.

    Under the Hood

As the creator of Vision, Ultron was looking for perfection - just how he sees his programming. He strives to create something perfect - something that will rid the world of imperfection - humans. Something as simple as a name eludes the character because Ultron wants him unbound to a label, nor ever known to the rest of the world. He was created to mindlessly kill imperfection (as defined by Ultron). The problem is, Ultron designed him with a mind - processing - reasoning - everything he would need to construct the ultimate state of imperfection: Humanity.

In general, all we want is to be loved, gain acceptance from our parents and peers and experience life. The Vision's struggle for attention is mirrored quite nicely in the Jan/Hank side-story.Making Vision TickFrom the beginning we see that Ultron is as cold and unfeeling as his personality should dictate.
