    When the Anita Blake series started, it felt very rushed and as a reader who has not read the novels, I was quite lost. As the series continues, the comic book writing gets better and the plot gets deeper. The new characters as introduced in #4 and #5 are making this series even more interesting. In #5, the plot speed calms down to a more "normal" pace. It's focused mainly on Anita's new human helper Philip who is a vampire junkie. People like Philip are known as "Freaks" because of their addict...
