Having already launched a couple of successful comics a decade earlier, Comic Cuts and Illustrated Chips, in 1901 journalist Alfred Harmsworth gathered these titles and his other publishing ventures into a new company, Amalgamated Press. In 1912 they took up offices in London's Fleetway House, and when the Mirror Group bought Amalgamated Press in 1959, they renamed the company Fleetway Publishing.
