Otto Orion, the Hunter, grows tired of hunting his rare animals around the galaxy. His next conquest is going to be the members of the Legion of Super-Heroes. He enacts his plan to capture some of the members and imprisons them, releasing them only in a controlled area so he can hunt them down. When the Invisible Kid reaches the goal to survive, a bomb goes off in the Hunter's belt. Dying, the Hunter explains that he lives by the same code as his prey..to live or die. He wanted the risk of the hunt to be very real. With that, the Hunter's assistant carries him away, dead.
