Adam was the son of Daily Planet reporter Cat Grant and her ex-husband Joe Morgan. He was then later part of a group of children who were kidnapped by a malfunctioning Toyman robot,during which he attempted to lead the other children in an escape attempt from the villain's lair. However Toyman discovered this and quickly killed Adam.

In Supergirl, Adam is named Adam Foster, and he lives in Opal City with his father. Cat Grant lost custody of Adam because she was such a workaholic. He has yet to make an appearance on the show, so he has only been mentioned.
