    1. "The Man with the Charmed Life": (Superman) A racketeer arranges for the witness against him to be miraculously saved from death a few times so he will believe a ring he found is magic and will protect him from all harm. He quits his accounting job and becomes a daredevil, leading superman to save him again and again. in a rare case of the cover actually depicting something from the story, at one point Lois asks to try the ring on and the gangsters shoot her with blanks to further convince the witness the magic is real.
    2. "Tommy Tomorrow's Trip to Today": (Tommy Tomorrow) Tommy is chosen to be the test piolet for a time ship that is meant to take him back 100 years but it only makes it 40 years to the then present of 1949 where no one believes he is from the future.
