    Dorothy McShane never liked her given name, insisting on being called Ace. After a time-storm scooped Ace up and dropped her off on the alien waystation Iceworld in the far future she met the Doctor and became his new travelling companion.

    Notes

    Played by Sophie Aldred, Ace was the last companion introduced in the original run of Doctor Who.
