    Origin

    After the death of her husband, Victor van Mort, in 1810 Absynthia would spend the following decades seeking immortality and studying the dark arts to resurrect him, but failed. She was offered means to her goals by the alchemist Diablo. This failed, and Absynthia realized the only place to be reunited with Victor was the afterlife.

    Creation

    Created by Ben Raab and Terry Dodson, Absynthia van Mort first appeared in X-Man: All Saint's Day #1.
