Flint Comix and Entertainment is a free to readers comics and entertainment paper based around Flint Michigan. They carry comics of all genres and types as long as it's quality driven and "family friendly". Our primary goal is to supply the area access to sequential art and blue collar style entertainment in all its forms, with a unique perspective and focus on the local area and talent. They now have over 5 years worth of publishing history under our belt, and an incredibly loyal, large local readership that easily surpasses our print run and is constantly growing along with us.
Flint Comix is the brainchild of graphic artist/writer and self publisher Randy Zimmerman (Co-Founder of Arrow Comix, and Owner of Zimm Graphix), and Ted Valley (owner of Vertigo Theatrics), and is distributed from well over 300 different points in the Flint Area. You will find copies in Family Restaurants, Laundromats, Public Libraries, Book Stores, Comic Shops, Doughnut Shops, and many, many other places. Additionally we have a number of newsstand outside vendor boxes in the area making the paper available to their readers as well.
Flint Comix features sequential art (comics) from almost every source available, they print single panel gag cartoons, comic strips (funny as well as dramatic), comic book style stories of all forms. Flint Comix also carries articles of local entertainment interest and information, a monthly astrology column, a "random rant" and a monthly column featuring the musings of professional comedians and an editorial by Flint's Mayor (currently Dayne Walling).
