One of the oldest
Starting in 1890 with Comic Cuts and Illustrated Chips as Amalgamated Press, the company that would be renamed Fleetway in 1959 (Amalgamated headquarters where housed in a building known as Fleetway House,) was, until sold in 2004 to Look and Learn Magazine Ltd, one of the longest running comic publishers in the world.
During their history they have published such well-known characters as Sexton Blake, Dan Dare, Judge Dread, the Steel Claw, and Battler Britton, as well as presenting such American characters as Hopalong Cassidy and Rip Kirby to a British audience.
