Flag-Smasher first dawned his costume when his father (a diplomat) died in a riot. Though when fighting for peace like his father, he did it in violent ways. First, launched a terroist campaign set on destroying symbols of a countries national identity (Flags, monuments, museums, etc.) When bringing his goals to America, he was quickly delt with by Captain America, who defeated him on many occasions. Extending his campain even further, Flag-Smasher led the terrorist group known as: Ultimatum. He then took over the small country Rumekistan, which he used as his base of operations.

A new Flag-Smasher has emerged and got in a battle with The Liberteens (Philidelphia's 50 state initiative team) but lost. It is unknown what has happened to the original.
