This series manages to deliver. (Sorry about that). We do get to see Baby Pezzini. I'll admit I wondered how this would end. Would Top Cow actually give Sara a baby. Do they really want to go in that direction?
When babies have been born to other comic characters (Spider-Man, Cyclops, etc) they sometimes end up disappearing or aging or whatever convenient way the writers come up with to avoid actually dealing with the kid. Will that happen here? Obviously the Angelus wants the kid for herself. Will she give up so easily?
You also have to wonder, how will a non-Witchblade wielding Sara manage to protect her baby? Being a detective probably wouldn't be enough. Dani has her own life so it's not like she's going to become Sara's personal bodyguard. And we've already seen that Detective Gleason wouldn't be much help. Well, I will say that this is answered in this issue. I will not give it away but there's a change in the power of Witchblade...
What about Jackie? If you seen the preview for next month's The Darkness, you already know that he's out in Central America doing his own thing. Well this is addressed too. This issue brings endings and beginnings. A good ending to a good series.
The art and writing were great as usual. It amazes me how each panel is like a piece of art. I also loved the conversation with the Darkness' minions in the beginning. It was a fun ride. Can't wait for the next issue of Witchblade.
